Feng Shui Decorating

Feng shui can be a very complicated subject. Decorating with feng shui means many rules will be applied to the home. Start with one room at a time to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

To start, home décor should have equal representation of all five elements. Avoid displaying too much of any one color or element since this can cause an imbalance.  Decorating should be kept at a minimum, using only objects that have significance in the homeowners’ lives.

Apply the Bagua map to the entire home. This will help identify disruptions in flow and can help one make design decisions for each room. For example the room that falls in the fame and power area should have accents of red to initiate the proper energy.
